Randy plays bass guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals.

Randy learned to play guitar at age 14 from his dad who also played banjo in a bluegrass band.  At age 16, he started learning bass guitar, and at age 19, he got a job in the house band, The Nightraider Band, at Moons Danceland in Madison, North Carolina.  Randy played there for 8 years before leaving to start his own band Hurricane Willie.  After a couple of years, he joined Rockin’ Horse for almost a year.  At the end of 1995, Randy reformed Hurricane Willie, and the band played almost every weekend for 10 years across North Carolina and Virginia.  He also had his own night club, Hurricane Willie’s Night Club, from 2000 to 2004.  Randy and the band did numerous opening performances and sound productions for national recording artists such as Marshall Tucker Band, Confederate Railroad, Percy Sledge, T. Graham Brown, Shaver, Georgia Satellites, Exile, The Bama Band, David Ball, The Coasters, Daryle Singletary, etc.  Randy dissolved Hurricane Willie in 2005 and then did sound production for the Red Rooster in Winston-Salem and later, the Country Corral in King before taking a break for a couple of years.  Randy joined 2nd Chance Band in November 2010.
